Akatsuki no Yona Chapter 240: Release Date, Spoilers & Where To Read

There lived a king with his beautiful daughter in a very beautiful castle; Hiryuu castle in the Kingdom of Kouka. The Emperor did not have any heir to take over the throne nor did he have an Empress to give birth to an heir. He just had a 15-year-old princess whom he had raised with great care.

He would get her all sorts of things; anything she ever asked for except for weapons. He did not want her to hold weapons for some reason.

The princess was always insecure and worried about her red curly hair. She had a servant who was her childhood friend by the name of Hak. Hak became the general commander of the castle at just the age of 18.

Princess Yuna had a cousin named Soo Won whom she had fallen in love with. Ever since their childhood, he had always been there for her and helped her always. But Princess Yuna was sad because he never looked at her in the way she looked at him. For Soo Won, she was just his younger sister.

Princess Yuna got to know that Soo Won's family was already planning to get him engaged to someone. so she lies about her engagement with Hak. Listening to that lie, the emperor tells Yuna that her engagement might not be a lie and she might have to get engaged soon. However, Yuna only loved Soo-Won and she denied marrying anyone except for Soo-Won.

The next day, Yuna encounters a stranger who kept following her. When she finds out that her mom was also killed because she was related to the king, Yuna feels bad and is also afraid that the same might happen to her as well.

On the day of the celebration of her 16th birthday, something unusual takes place. As she is being happy that Soo-Won has accepted her as a woman, Soo-Won kills her father which leaves Yuna in shock.

Now our Yuna has to fight for her kingdom as well as herself. She needs to use the weapons her father never let her touch. Come along Yuna's courageous journey!

We saw in the last chapter how Yuna fought bravely against all the enemies and we got to know that Val was still alive. While there was an attack on Mei-Nyan, Kaji steps forward to save her. Her pet Hoh was also alive which made her emotional.

That is when Hak's and Chagol's fight starts and with Chagol's one slash, everyone stopped; whether it was an enemy or ally. Chagol who was always protected by his generals and the dromos was unknown to everyone until now.

Seeing all this Yuna picks up the bow and arrow and pointed it toward Chagol. When Chagol asks if it had always been her plan to kill him she tells him that she just came there to save Mei Nyan but the war won't end if he stays alive so she has to kill him.

And the next moment Yuna was on the ground and Chagol's hands were around her neck trying to kill her. Chagol cusses at her saying that she just had royal blood and red hair and that she couldn't have done any good to anyone ever.

That's when Hak gets back and attacks Chagol. Yuna successfully diverts Chagol's attention and then Hak distracted him. Taking the chance, she shot the arrow toward Chagol which hit him directly on his chest. But Chagol didn't seem to die, he held the arrow and pulled it out of his chest.

Next episode we might get to see what happens to Chagol. Did he die or was he able to survive? Has the war finally come to an end or it's just the beginning of a new problem? Hak was able to face Chagol's attack and survive but will Chagol be able to survive when Hak shows him his skills?

Yuna, on the other hand, had a really good plan and managed to shoot an arrow into his chest but we don't know yet if Chagol died, he might be alive and target Yuna again.
